Why He Will Go Overlooked:
Gary Sanchez just keeps ripping bombs -- now with 22 on the year and three in the past five games, Sanchez is likely to be popular tonight. The Tampa Bay Rays have really struggled the last two weeks, ranking last in team wOBA during that time (.254). With that in mind, catcher Wilson Ramos should be flying under the radar.
Why You Should Use Him:
Those numbers are pretty rough, but there's cause for optimism tonight, and it begins with the fact that they face former teammate Erasmo Ramirez.
In 83 2/3 innings, Ramirez's 4.18 SIERA doesn't seem to scary, but a 40.5% hard-hit rate and a 35.0% fly-ball rate isn't all that good.
Throw in his road mark of 2.51 homers allowed per nine innings pitched, and Rays become a bit juicier, including a cheap catching option like Ramos. Although he's struggled overall against righties this year (45 wRC+ in 90 plate appearances), four of his five homers have come in that situation, which is aided by his 34.9% fly-ball rate and 33.3% hard-hit rate when he doesn't have the platoon advantage.
