4 Under-the-Radar Daily Fantasy Baseball Plays for 8/22/17
Evan Longoria has a good shot at busting out of his August slump against Chris Rowley of the Toronto Blue Jays. Who else could make for a strong sleeper play?

Jason Kipnis, 2B, Cleveland Indians

FanDuel Price: $3,300

Why He Will Go Overlooked:

With three bombs in his last five games and 15.0-plus FanDuel points in six straight contests, Brian Dozier of the Minnesota Twins is sure to be a chalky option up the middle. Only hitting .208 in the second half, Jason Kipnis of the Cleveland Indians is probably going to see a bit less ownership than the big names at the position.

Why You Should Use Him:

Despite that low batting average, Kipnis makes for an attractive play thanks to some impressive pop in his bat. Kipnis has struggled to get base hits this month, but he's ripped three homers thanks to a 33.3% hard-hit rate and a 48.5% fly-ball rate.

It shouldn't hurt Kipnis that he faces Doug Fister, who's been brutal this season, recording a 5.05 SIERA. Lefties have crushed Fister with a 41.9% hard-hit rate, so it'd be a good idea to check out Kipnis as a pretty solid value play that could be in line for a pile of points.
