FanDuel Price: $6,600
Why He Will Go Overlooked:
There is one heckuva matchup tonight in the Bronx, as Corey Kluber and Luis Severino square off. Other big-name starters in action tonight include Marcus Stroman, Drew Pomeranz, and Jeff Samardzija, and these five hurlers are likely to dominate the pitching slate.
Shuffled back and forth between a starting role and the bullpen this season with mixed results (4.43 SIERA), Mike Montgomery of the Chicago Cubs is likely to be ignored.
Why You Should Use Him:
As noted, Montgomery has been yo-yo'd a bit this year, but if his last start was a good indicator, the rotation should be a good home for him.
Montgomery twirled six scoreless innings against the Cincinnati Reds in the Great American Ball Park, which is no joke. The Reds home digs rank fourth in home run factor over the last three seasons.
Add in the fact that the Pittsburgh Pirates, Montgomery's opponent, do not hit lefties well at all (22nd in team wOBA at .307, 20.0% strikeout rate), and this has all the makings for a strong night for the Cubs starter.
