3 Under-the-Radar Daily Fantasy Baseball Plays for 8/30/17
Despite playing at home, Manny Margot is locked into a great matchup against Ty Blach. Who else profiles as a great sleeper play for Wednesday's MLB DFS slate?

Manny Margot, OF, San Diego Padres

FanDuel Price: $3,000

Why He Will Go Overlooked:

J.D. Martinez of the Arizona Diamondbacks is likely to be a chalky play on tonight's slate with lefty Hyun-jin Ryu of the Los Angeles Dodgers on the bump. In 76 plate appearances against southpaws this season, Martinez is the proud owner of a .969 slugging percentage, 1.469 OPS, 58.7% hard-hit rate, and 39.1% fly-ball rate.

Likely to be a bit more underowned is Manuel Margot of the San Diego Padres, who's only recorded a .324 wOBA this season and plays tonight at home, where Petco Park ranks 24th in park factor over the last three years.

Why You Should Use Him:

The Padres' home park isn't friendly to hitters, but it could be tonight against Ty Blach of the San Francisco Giants.

By most measures, August has been Blach's worst month of the year. He's fired 31 1/3 innings, recording a 5.74 ERA with 1.44 homers allowed per nine innings pitched, a 36.8% hard-hit rate, and a 32.4% fly-ball rate. Righties have also been ripping him to the tune of a .344 wOBA.

On the other hand, Margot has punished lefties with a 130 wRC+ and .213 ISO. And when compared to what he does against righties, the rookie outfielder is making more solid contact overall (17.3% soft-hit rate against lefties and 27.9% against righties).
