FanDuel Price: $6,900
With a dirt cheap salary and ideal matchup against the San Diego Padres (3.86 implied team total), Michael Wacha sure looks the part of a tournament play.
But his recent form is extremely troubling. In six August starts, Wacha has sputtered to a 4.94 SIERA, 15.9% strikeout rate, and 9.1% walk rate. The drop in punchouts doesn't look like a fluke either, considering a poor 7.3% swinging-strike rate over that span.
Even across the whole season, in 25 starts, Wacha has surpassed 40 FanDuel points just six times. While the price may be tempting, there's enough value on the slate that you don't need to risk going here.
