FanDuel Price: $2,100
Why He Will Go Overlooked:
While J.D. Martinez gets a whole lotta pub for crushing southpaws (as he should), he's pretty decent against same-sided righties, and could be a chalky outfield play tonight. Since July 23rd, in 143 plate appearances against righties, Martinez has blasted his way to a 163 wRC+, 1.068 OPS, and 44.9% hard-hit rate.
Batting only .154 and facing Chicago Cubs stud Jon Lester, September call-up Travis Taijeron of the New York Mets could be ignored.
Why You Should Use Him:
The young outfielder definitely has his work cut out for him, but Lester has shown some flaws in 2017, particularly against the platoon.
Righties have knocked Lester for a .339 wOBA and .460 slugging percentage this year, including 1.43 home runs per nine innings pitched. And if the rookie has shown one thing as a pro, it's that he has plenty of pop.
At Triple-A this season, Taijeron rocked 25 long balls for a .252 ISO, and he has hit at least 15 jacks in every professional stop dating back to 2014.
