FanDuel Price: $7,100
Why He Will Go Overlooked:
There is one ace priced at $9,000 (Masahiro Tanaka), and several priced just below him, including Brad Peacock, Jose Berrios, and Tanner Roark. In a condensed slate, those higher-priced arms are sure to see the majority of ownership.
Jake Junis, who is tasked with breaking the Cleveland Indians monster 21-game winning streak, is likely to be ignored.
Why You Should Use Him:
While Junis faces a very tall order, the young Kansas City Royals right-hander has been impressive this year, as witnessed by his recent run of quality starts.
Over Junis's last five outings, in 24 2/3 innings pitched, he has recorded a 2.95 FIP, a 23.6% strikeout rate, and a 2.8% walk rate. He has also racked up double-digit swinging-strike rates in four of those starts.
The Indians are white hot, but Junis could make for an interesting pivot.
