10 Fantasy Baseball Picks Who Could Make or Break Your 2018 Season
It's an open question as to what you're going to get from these 10 players if they're on your fantasy baseball squad in 2018.

Dansby Swanson, Atlanta Braves (SS)

Dansby Swanson came into the 2017 season as the third overall prospect in baseball according to Baseball America, and the second overall prospect according to Baseball Prospectus. The Atlanta Braves fleeced the Arizona Diamondbacks into giving him up in the Shelby Miller deal back in 2016, and he was picked by many as the favorite for Rookie of the Year honors.

Then Swanson went out and hit .232/.312/.324 in 144 games (551 plate appearances) with an fWAR of 0.1 and a wRC+ of 66. Of course, it was his rookie campaign and he was just 23 years old, so it's possible he just needed a season to adjust to the league.

He did have a couple nice months last season (.306/.355/.418 in June and .309/.422/.426 in August), but if the Braves' rebuild is going to take hold this year, Swanson has to be one of the cornerstone players. The young shortstop didn't look anything like that kind of player last season. And for now, you're probably staying away in fantasy unless he ends up as a late-round flier.
