Fantasy Baseball: 9 Players That Are Being Overvalued
The following nine players all enjoyed a solid 2017 campaign, but at their current Average Draft Position, you should avoid them on draft day.

Alex Bregman - Houston Astros (3B)

It seems crazy to suggest that the Houston Astros' all-world third baseman Alex Bregman is overvalued after an outstanding 2017 season in which he batted .284/.352/.475 with 19 homers, 71 RBI, and 88 runs scored.

Those numbers and the expected improvement that comes with getting a full season in the Majors under one's belt is leading him to being taken sixth among third basemen right now with an ADP of 32.0. However, our projections have Bregman listed as the 23rd-best option among players who qualify at third for numberFire.

We project a .268 average, .752 OPS, 20 homers, 65 RBI, and 75 runs scored, not quite as good as 2017's numbers. Bregman could certainly be a breakout candidate for this season, but he could also be a slight regression candidate. At a position with a lot of sure things at third, risk-averse owners can probably get more of a sure thing in the third round at the hot corner.
