Fantasy Baseball: 10 Bold Predictions for the 2018 Season
With Opening Day right around the corner, let's check out 10 potential outcomes that would surprise the fantasy baseball community.

Stephen Strasburg Will Surpass Max Scherzer

Stephen Strasburg has been pretty awesome for a while now, but he's been just slightly less awesome than Max Scherzer since Mad Max came to the nation's capital. That changes in 2018.

Strasburg is entering his age-29 campaign and is coming off a 6.4 WAR year in which he went 15-4 with a 2.52 ERA in 28 starts, posting 204 strikeouts in 175.1 innings. Scherzer's WAR was 7.4, and he went 16-6 with a 2.51 ERA with 268 strikeouts in 200.2 innings.

Scherzer is still awesome, but this will be his age-33 season -- you'd think just a little decline could be starting to creep in, while Strasburg is now fully in his prime. This could be the year Strasburg becomes the team's ace. They're both gonna be awesome, though.
