Daily Fantasy Baseball: Positive Batted-Ball Regression Candidates for Week 2
Despite his unimpressive production so far, Javier Baez has been hitting the ball as hard as ever. What other hitters are set up for positive regression in Week 2?

Javier Baez, 2B, Chicago Cubs

Chicago Cubs infielder Javier Baez might be wearing out his welcome with fantasy players, with the hot shot utility man flailing away to a .148 batting average and undistinguished .657 OPS in the early goings of 2018. Those totals could be a figment of his rather unlucky .200 batting average on balls in play (BABIP), because the young Cub's underlying numbers show him hitting the ball as hard as ever, with a 40.0% hard-hit rate and 33.3% line-drive rate.

While DFS players should be ever wary of lineup shenanigans from the ever crafty Joe Maddon, Baez's sure defensive hand should keep him on the diamond, and with the Cubs lined up against the likes of Chad Kuhl, Trevor Williams, and Julio Teheran this week, Baez could be a strong mid-priced option.
