Manny Machado is in a tough spot against Red Sox southpaw Eduardo Rodriguez. Who else could struggle to return value tonight?

Mike Clevinger, SP, Cleveland Indians

FanDuel Price: $8,300

Mike Clevinger was a candidate to breakout in 2018, and after a strong spring, he earned a spot in the Cleveland Indians' rotation. Based off his 0.71 ERA, one might say he is well on his way to breaking out, but a closer examination of his peripherals reveals that this is not the case.

So far, Clevinger has failed to get guys to whiff on his pitches. He has just a 8.7% swinging-strike rate, which is a steep decline from the 12.4% mark he posted in 2017. As a result, Clevinger's strikeout rate has dipped nearly 10 full percentage points from 27.3% in 2017 to 17.7% this year. Due to his inability to get strikeouts, Clevinger's SIERA is a mediocre 4.25, a far cry from his 0.71 ERA.

Against a Toronto Blue Jays offense that, against righties, ranks 13th and 8th in wOBA (.315) and hard-hit rate (34.4%), respectively, Clevinger's floor is mighty low on Friday.
