Daily Fantasy Baseball: Positive Batted-Ball Regression Candidates for Week 4
Whit Merrifield's bat has been light on extra-base pop, but advanced statistics show him making major contact gains. What other hitters could be on the verge of breaking out for daily fantasy players in Week 4?

Adrian Beltre, 3B, Texas Rangers

Father time has not slowed the bat of contact maven Adrian Beltre, with the Texas Rangers' veteran stroking a cool .300 batting average to open his age-39 season. A lack of thump (.125 isolated slugging) has kept his FanDuel salary from getting out of hand, though, a trend which daily players can exploit in Week 4, especially with Beltre's eye-popping 42.9% hard-hit rate and 34.3% line-drive rate indicating that there should be some gaudier production on the horizon.

Beltre's platoon splits aren't all that stark, with the infielder slashing a respectable .291/.343/.469 against righties over the past three seasons. Beltre has four righties on the slate in Week 4, including Erasmo Ramirez and erstwhile ace Felix Hernandez, making the wily veteran a very strong mid-priced play.
