5 Daily Fantasy Baseball Value Plays for 4/25/18
Matt Olson is severely underpriced against Doug Fister and the Rangers. What other budget-friendly hitters should you target on Wednesday night?

Sean Rodriguez, 2B, Pittsburgh Pirates

Price: $3,000

In the second half of their doubleheader tonight, the Pittsburgh Pirates will be up against Detroit Tigers southpaw Matt Boyd. Boyd hasn't allowed much production to start the season, but his 5.38 SIERA indicates that he hasn't actually been pitching particularly well. It's not all that surprising, as he has a career mark of 4.73 with a 4.94 SIERA in 2017.

Sean Rodriguez has been leading off against lefties and he's projected to bat leadoff tonight, meaning he should get plenty of crack at Boyd.

We have to go back to the start of the 2016 season to get a sample size over 100 plate appearances for Rodriguez, but he has been outstanding when facing left-handed pitching. Stretching from 2016 to present, he owns a .381 wOBA and .242 ISO, which has come with some huge contact numbers, including a 49.3% hard-hit rate and 12.7% soft-hit rate. He should have no trouble taking advantage of his opportunities tonight.
