Starts: April 30th at Chicago Cubs, May 6th at New York Mets

Rolling out lefties against the Mets remains a no-brainer, but the Chicago Cubs also make for a low-key appealing target for southpaw hurlers, as the scuffling super team has posted a middling .137 team isolated slugging on the back of an ballooning 21.5% soft contact against left-handers so far in 2018.
Second-year Colorado Rockies lefty Kyle Freeland faces both squads this week, with the added benefit of travelling away from pitcher-hostile Coors Field.
Granted, Freeland's career home/away splits (3.51 home ERA, 4.88 away from Coors) don't position him as all that eager of a road-tripper, but the 83-inning sample might still be too small to consider definitive. Thrill-seeking streamers could certainly do worse, especially with the lefty's advances in swinging-strike rate and chase right pointing to some hidden strikeout upside.
