Logan Morrison is coming off a big game last night, and it's not surprising to see him turn his production around. His .206 batting average on balls in play (BABIP) is too low to be sustainable long-term (he posted a .268 last year and has a .271 career-average), and simple variance has made a bump in production likely, particularly sporting a 37.9% hard-hit rate.
He draws another good pitching matchup tonight, taking on White Sox righty Carson Fulmer.
Fulmer has a 5.50 SIERA to open the season, which is right in line with the ugly 5.59 he posted in 2017. He has a heinous 6.12 xFIP against left-handed bats over his first three Major League seasons, and he's not likely to slow Morrison's bounce-back run.
