Going back to what should be a popular Baltimore offense, their 5.01 implied total is the highest mark on tonight's main slate.
That shouldn't come as much of a surprise when you consider how bad Skoglund has been for the Royals. As I mentioned for Schoop, he has an ugly 4.88 SIERA to start his career. And his .395 wOBA against right-handed hitters is accompanied by a 4.95 xFIP and huge 41.1% hard-hit rate, giving opposing batters a ton of upside.
Mark Trumbo hasn't produced epsecially well over the past two seasons, but if we just look at his splits against southpaws, there's still room for optimism, with a not-terrible .330 wOBA and .170 ISO. He hasn't shown a ton of pop, and doesn't have a huge ceiling, but this matchup is good enough that he's still in play.
