Price: $8,600
I'll admit, calling a pitcher priced at $8,600 a "stud" might be a bit of a stretch, but he's the fourth-most expensive pitcher on today's main slate and is priced only $700 below the top-priced arm. With nobody priced higher than him standing out much, Walker Buehler is the top high-priced arm tonight.
He has been absolutely stellar through three starts this season, posting a 3.27 skill-interactive ERA (SIERA) with a 30.2% strikeout rate. That brings his career averages (over 11 MLB games, 107 batters) to a 3.75 SIERA and 29.0% strikeout rate.
With Buehler making the first starts of his Major League career, the Los Angeles Dodgers have kept him on something of a tight pitch count so far. His leash does seem to be getting longer, though, as he worked five innings in his first two starts and was allowed to go six frames in his last game -- an outing in which he notched 52 FanDuel points.
He finds himself in a great matchup to keep rolling as he takes on Cincinnati, who ranks only 25th with an 86 wRC+ against right-handed pitching. The Dodgers are the day's biggest favorites (-188 moneyline), which leaves the Reds with the day's lowest implied total (3.14).
