10 Fantasy Baseball Players to Buy and Sell for Week 8
Brandon Belt is red-hot and has 11 dingers already, but he's never hit more than 18 jacks in a season. How should you handle him in season-long leagues?

Sell Byron Buxton

Look, I don't know any other way to say this: Byron Buxton has just been flat-out bad so far in 2018.

To be fair, he is fresh off the disabled list and is playing through a fractured toe, which is admirable, but it is not helping fantasy owners who drafted him with at an average draft position of 48 this offseason. In 20 games (70 plate appearances), Buxton is batting .164/.200/.209, and he's walked in just 4.3% of his plate appearances with a strikeout rate of 30.0%.

Buxton has a ton of speed and had a red-hot second half in 2017, but so far, his 2018 season has been a disaster. He can't steal bases if he doesn't get on, and it's fair to wonder if the pain in that busted toe is going to hurt the running aspect of his game, as well. If you can find a fantasy owner who is enamored by the name and prospect pedigree, sell Buxton now, because he might not have much to offer this season.
