5 Daily Fantasy Baseball Value Plays for 5/22/18
Jesse Winker has shown a lot of promise against righties, putting him in a good spot versus Jameson Taillon. Which other low-cost bats make sense tonight?

Chris Davis, 1B, Baltimore Orioles

Price: $2,200

There's plenty to be worried about with Chris Davis. He hasn't produced well since 2016, and he has seen a significant drop in hard-hit rate this year.

His hard-hit rate still sits at a solid 35.1%, though, and his 12.8% soft-hit rate isn't much worse than his 11.9% career average. Despite this, Davis' BABIP sits at only .233 in 2018 -- lower than his previous career-worst BABIP of .242 and far worse than both his mark in 2017 (.301) and his career average (.310).

Davis has done his best work against right-handed pitching over his career, and with his contact numbers still looking good, a matchup with James Shields puts him in a good spot here. It doesn't need to be a big day for Davis to return solid value, either, as he sits only $200 above the minimum.
