3 Daily Fantasy Baseball Players to Avoid on 5/23/18
Nolan Arenado is usually a stud to target, but he draws a tough matchup as he leaves Coors to take on Kenta Maeda and the Dodgers.

Jake Arrieta, SP, Philadelphia Phillies

FanDuel Price: $7,800

One of the biggest reasons for the Philadelphia Phillies' resurgence this season has been Jake Arrieta. With 3 victories and a 2.82 ERA to his name, he has had excellent results so far in 2018. However, his peripherals leave much to be desired, as he has generated just a 6.0% swinging-strike rate on the season. His SIERA is 4.57, indicating that much like the aforementioned Lester, he has benefited from good luck this season.

He also has the misfortune of facing one of the hottest teams in baseball right now. Thanks to a 9.4% walk rate and 20.1% strikeout rate, the Atlanta Braves rank fourth in walk to strikeout ratio against right-handed pitching this season.

Without much upside in the strikeout department -- especially in a matchup with Atlanta -- you should look elsewhere for your pitcher spot on Wednesday.
