Fantasy Baseball: Where Will Hanley Ramirez Have the Biggest Impact?
Hanley Ramirez was DFA'd Friday by the Red Sox. Which potential landing spot would most benefit the veteran's fantasy value?

Minnesota Twins

The Minnesota Twins are all set at first base, with Joe Mauer having a surprisingly effective season. But at DH, the Twins need a little help.

Ramirez would platoon with lefty-hitting Logan Morrison, who is struggling to recreate his 38-homer 2017 campaign. In 166 plate appearances, Morrison is batting .204/.319/.359 with a .305 wOBA that is slightly below Ramirez' .310. Morrison has done poorly against left-handed pitching (.639 OPS and 4 wRC+), so it's likely the two would split time.

Ramirez has not done particularly well at Target Field in the few times he's played there. In 12 games (57 PAs) he has a .178/.333/.222 slash line with just 2 extra-base hits. And generally speaking, Minnesota's Target Field is just 26th-best in terms of overall offense this season, so this would be among the worst landing spots for Ramirez' fantasy numbers.

And it's for that reason that the Twins would come in last behind the Rockies at one, and followed by the Orioles, Indians and Athletics.
