3 MLB FanDuel Studs to Target on 5/30/18
At home and taking on a fly-ball prone lefty, Nolan Arenado is primed for a big night. What other high-priced players should be on your radar on Wednesday?

Mike Trout, OF, Los Angeles Angels

Price: $5,400

The Los Angeles Angels have the second-highest implied total on tonight's main slate (5.23) in a plus matchup with righty Mike Fiers and the Detroit Tigers.

Fiers posted a career-worst 4.52 SIERA in 2017, and he's off to an even worse start this year, with a 4.68 mark over 9 games. The 34.1% hard-hit rate he's allowing is higher than his career-average, while he is combining that with a career-high 43.9% fly-ball rate, giving opposing sluggers some really interesting upside.

Mike Trout isn't a guy who needs an especially strong matchup to put him in play, making him especially appealing when he does get one as he does tonight. He has an absurd .461 wOBA and .370 ISO to open 2018, which are both on pace to be career-bests. Even if we see him regress to a more typical pace moving forward, he is coming off a 2017 season that saw him post a .437 wOBA and .323 ISO over 507 plate appearances, and we can count on him to continue to dominate.

A righty-versus-righty matchup is no concern for Trout either, with a .465 wOBA on a 48.7% hard-hit rate against righties this year.
