Miami Marlins southpaw Caleb Smith remains on the streamer radar for the third straight week, drawing another team with generous lefty splits.

The Padres were about league average in terms of hard contact and group slugging against southpaws in the month of May, but San Diego really struggled with plate discipline against lefties over that span, posting a 25.2% group strikeout rate against an 8.0% walk rate.

The Padres also happen to be the worst team in the majors in terms of weighted production off the slider, which you better believe Smith has on his scouting report. Looks for the Marlins' hurler to lean on his breaking stuff and put streamers in a nice position to rack up strikeouts.
