5 Daily Fantasy Baseball Value Plays for 6/5/18
Despite his dip in production this season, Michael Conforto offers plenty of value against Alex Cobb. Which other budget-friendly hitters should you check out?

Stephen Piscotty, OF, Oakland Athletics

Price: $2,200

Oakland's 5.56 implied total is the day's highest as they draw a great matchup against southpaw Matt Moore.

Moore has struggled to the tune of a 5.04 SIERA to start the 2018 season, after posting an also poor 4.86 SIERA in 2017. Against right-handed bats, he has posted a 5.28 xFIP while allowing a 44.7% hard-hit rate and only a 12.8% soft-hit rate.

Stephen Piscotty has made some very solid contact against southpaws over the last two seasons, notching a 38.7% hard-hit rate and 16.1% soft-hit rate. His production has been weak, but it comes with a .253 BABIP that is very low when you consider the type of contact he has been making.

His career BABIP against southpaws (378 plate appearances) sits at .306, which has helped him register a .355 wOBA in the split, and his promising batted-ball profile leaves him offering plenty of value against Moore.
