The Houston Astros own Friday's third-highest implied total (5.16) as they take on Doug Fister and the Texas Rangers at the Globe Life Park in Arlington, which has today's second-most hitter-friendly park factor.
Fister has a 4.52 SIERA through 11 games in 2018, which puts him on pace for his fourth consecutive season with a mark above 4.40. Over the last two years, he has allowed a .346 wOBA and 4.82 xFIP to left-handed hitters, making this an especially good spot for Josh Reddick.
Reddick has been a bit of a victim of BABIP as well this year, with only a .222 mark in his 114 plate appearances against right-handed pitching. This has led to him producing a .314 wOBA despite his strong batted-ball profile (32.9% hard-hit, 15.8% soft-hit and 46.1% fly-ball rates). He's coming off a 2017 campaign that saw him turn a similar batted-ball profile into a .363 wOBA (with a .329 BABIP) against right-handed pitching, and this matchup with Fister puts him in a great spot to bounce back from his slow start.
