5 Daily Fantasy Baseball Value Plays for 6/13/18
Daniel Murphy struggled in his season debut, but he still shouldn't be priced as low as he is tonight. What other budget-friendly hitters should you target on Wednesday?

Logan Forsythe, 2B, Los Angeles Dodgers

Price: $2,500

Logan Forsythe is having a terrible year from the dish. Usually a capable hitter against southpaws, his 40 plate appearances against lefties have seen him post an abysmal .239 wOBA in 2018. This comes with a ridiculously low .172 batting average on balls in play (BABIP), a stat that is heavily prone to variance (especially over a small 40 plate appearance sample).

In 2017, he posted a .381 wOBA with a .388 BABIP against southpaws, and his career averages sit at a .352 wOBA and .316 BABIP. Even if he doesn't pick up his play, simple variance should improve his production significantly. And to make an even more promising case, he's in a favorable spot tonight against lefty Cole Hamels.

While Hamels has bounced back from his awful 2017 campaign, he has still had some struggles with right-handed hitters, allowing a massive 47.3% hard-hit rate while posting a shaky 4.35 xFIP. This is a promising matchup for Forsythe's production to start picking up.
