Daily Fantasy Baseball: Positive Batted-Ball Regression Candidates for Week 12
Starlin Castro's advanced metrics suggest he should soon be shaking out of his recent slump. Which other hitters are on the cusp of better production?

Starlin Castro, 2B, Miami Marlins

You'd be forgiven for completely forgetting about former top prospect Starlin Castro as he wallows in obscurity on the bottom-feeding Miami Marlins. His recent performance at the dish hasn't helped matters, with the 28-year-old infielder slashing a lowly .241/.298/.375 over his last 121 plate appearances.

Those surface results mask some respectable skills, though. Castro is stroking a solid 37.9% hard-hit rate and an excellent 25.3% line-drive rate over that span, numbers that suggest his puny 3.6% homer-per-fly rate might be unnaturally suppressed.

Looks for Castro to turn the corner in Week 12, drawing soft lefties like Andrew Suarez and Derek Holland before taking a jaunt to the hitters haven at Coors Field.
