5 Daily Fantasy Baseball Value Plays for 6/19/18
Despite a poor start to 2018, Adam Duvall offers big value against Matt Boyd and the Tigers tonight. What other budget-friendly hitters should you target on Tuesday's slate?

Yan Gomes, C, Cleveland Indians

Price: $2,900

Cleveland's 4.84 implied total is a top-four mark on today's slate as they take on the Chicago White Sox and southpaw Carlos Rodon.

Rodon has only made two Major League starts this season, but his 4.30 SIERA looks a lot like the 4.21 he posted in 12 games last year. Going back to 2017, he has had an especially tough time against right-handed hitters, allowing a shaky .332 wOBA and 4.40 xFIP.

Yan Gomes has a decent .331 wOBA on the year, but his work in 62 plate appearances against lefties -- a 50.0% hard-hit rate, 8.3% soft-hit rate and .420 wOBA -- is what really makes him appealing against Rodon. Expanding our sample to include 2017 (184 plate appearances), his numbers aren't quite as deadly, but do still include an appealing .380 wOBA and .261 ISO on a 43.2% hard-hit rate.
