An unexpected name near the top of the recent hard-hit leaderboard is Los Angeles Angels infielder Luis Valbuena, who has stung 53.1% hard contact over the last month, yet he's come away with just a .719 OPS over that span.
Granted, striking out at a 35.6% clip tends to deflate one's production, but Valbuena is doing too much damage to the baseball when he does make contact (25.0% liners and a mere 8.2% soft-contact clip since late May) to remain totally useless to daily players. The Angels' utilityman makes for a worthy roster filler as he enters Week 13 with a FanDuel salary in the mid-$2,000s and dates lined up at the hitter-friendly venues of Fenway Park and Camden Yards.
