Last year, San Diego Padres outfielder/first baseman Wil Myers had his second straight pretty good fantasy season. He hit 30 bombs, drove in 74, stole 20 bases and hit .243/.328/.464 in 155 games. The year before, he was even better, slugging 28 homers, knocking in 94, and scoring 99 runs with 28 steals all while hitting .259/.336/.461 in a pitcher's park.
This season, after three injuries and two trips to the DL, Myers is back in the San Diego lineup. He's played in only 14 games and received 54 plate appearances in 2018, so his numbers this season don't really matter all that much (.301 wOBA, 92 wRC+). A lot of owners have probably forgotten about Myers, especially at a position as deep as outfield and first base.
If you can get Myers on the cheap, you could be picking up a 30-homer, 20-steal caliber player for virtually nothing. Provided he can stay healthy, of course.
