Toronto Blue Jays designated hitter Kendrys Morales is on a bit of a roll right now. Since May 20, he's hitting .352/.394/.593 with 5 dingers, pacing the Toronto offense of late. Overall he's hitting .246/.311/.424 with 8 bombs and 25 RBI in 212 plate appearances with a .313 wOBA and a wRC+ of 97.
Morales is a nice player but -- for a DH -- isn't the most productive in the world. And while his batted-ball stats and and plate-discipline numbers look similar to last year, 2017 Kendrys Morales wasn't anything to write home about. He's on a hot streak right now, so using him as capital in a trade before he cools off is the best use of his this little tear that he's on at the moment.
