5 Daily Fantasy Baseball Value Plays for 6/25/18
Despite some shoddy traditional numbers, Kyle Seager is making great contact, giving him plenty of upside against Andrew Cashner. Which other low-cost hitters should you check out?

Colby Rasmus, OF, Baltimore Orioles

Price: $2,300

Seattle Mariners righty Felix Hernandez has opened 2018 with a 4.37 skill-interactive ERA (SIERA), which is on pace to be the second-worst of his career (behind only 2016's 4.63). His 39.1% hard-hit rate is a career-worst mark (by far), and his 32.8% fly-ball rate is on pace to be a career high.

He has an especially weak 4.61 xFIP against left-handed bats, making this a particularly good spot for Colby Rasmus.

Rasmus has been awful so far in 2018, but he has only made 38 plate appearances -- not nearly a big enough sample from which to draw many meaningful conclusions.

Dating back to the start of the 2017 season, Rasmus has 167 plate appearances. He has made great contact in that sample, with a 36.8% hard-hit rate, 14.9% soft-hit rate and 41.3% fly-ball rate, which has translated to a .335 wOBA and .256 ISO. He has been far better against right-handed pitching than lefties over his career, producing a 37.6% hard-hit rate and 46.2% fly-ball rate in the split, and he has plenty of upside against Hernandez.
