Guerra has had an especially tough time against left-handed bats over his career, with a 4.60 xFIP and 36.5% hard-hit rate.
The switch-hitting Tucker Barnhart is in a good spot to take advantage of that, typically making excellent contact against righties and batting second, right behind Winker.
In 555 plate appearances over the last two seasons, Barnhart has turned in a 36.5% hard-hit rate and 15.1% soft-hit rate against right-handed hurlers. This has only translated to a modest .311 wOBA, but in a plus matchup with Guerra on a very short slate, that's enough to make him a solid value option tonight, not to mention a contrarian play at your catcher/first base slot.
