Billy Hamilton may finally be waking up a bit. Notching six steals in his last three games and nine hits over his last four, Hamilton may see that dreadful .284 wOBA finally start rising. It may hit the pause button for one night, though, as he faces Cleveland Indians strikeout wizard Trevor Bauer.
Like Verlander, Bauer owns opposite-handed batters. So far this season, over 224 total batters faced, Bauer has limited lefties to a .251 wOBA, 33.0% strikeout rate, and 33.6% hard-hit rate. In this split, Hamilton has been pretty weak himself with a .276 wOBA.
Hamilton may seem at least a little appealing given his recent success, but it's wise to stay away tonight.
