10 Dynasty Fantasy Baseball Assets to Buy Before the Second Half
Carlos Rodon seems to finally be healthy, meaning he could start to live up to the hype he once carried as a high-end draft pick. Which other players should we buy for dynasty fantasy baseball for the second half of the season?

Brendan Rodgers, SS, Colorado Rockies

If you're looking to contend this year, Brendan Rodgers may not be able to help you there. He's blocked right now, playing in an organization that has Nolan Arenado, Trevor Story, and DJ LeMahieu filling its infield. If you're playing with an eye on 2019, though, Rodgers is the ideal buy candidate.

Although Arenado and Story aren't going anywhere (especially with Story improving drastically this season), LeMahieu is a free agent this offseason. LeMahieu has been plenty fine, but Rodgers could make the Colorado Rockies' decision on whether to re-sign LeMahieu an easy one.

Rodgers is in Double-A right now, and he's living up to the hype that comes with being the third overall pick in the draft. He's slashing .270/.333/.508 with a 19.8% strikeout rate and a .238 ISO. The fly-ball rate for Rodgers is 38.8%, meaning he can utilize the massive outfield grass at Coors Field, and he has added 11 steals to boot. And the air in Hartford isn't nearly on par with what he'll see in Colorado.

The second that LeMahieu hits free agency, Rodgers' price is going to sky-rocket. He's not going to be cheap now, either, but if you want this potential future stud on your roster, you'd better do so before that window closes.
