3 Daily Fantasy Baseball Players to Avoid on 7/27/18
The Houston Astros' rotation has been remarkable this year, but Dallas Keuchel has probably been their least impressive performer thus far. Which other players should you be avoiding tonight?

Mike Foltynewicz, SP, Atlanta Braves

FanDuel Price: $8,300

Mike Foltynewicz has enjoyed a breakthrough season in 2018. He is a big part of the Atlanta Braves' resurgence and is a deserving All-Star.

Still, he's not as good as his 2.85 ERA reflects. His 10.1% walk rate is high, and nothing about is batted-ball profile is particularly special (35.7% fly-ball rate and 33.0% hard-hit rate). His 10.5% swinging-strike rate is good, but certainly not elite. All in all, Foltynewicz has pitched well this season, but he is far closer to his 3.75 SIERA than his current ERA.

He also draws a very tough matchup. The Los Angeles Dodgers' 111 wRC+ against right-handed pitching ranks third in the Majors. That mark includes the fifth-best walk-to-strikeout ratio against right-handed pitching and the fourth-highest fly-ball rate, at 38.6%. These are all also season-long stats that hardly account for the fact that the Dodgers just acquired Manny Machado, too. With a win not likely against Clayton Kershaw and the Dodgers, feel free to pay up for tonight's higher-priced studs.
