Kenta Maeda already looked great through his first two Major League seasons, but he has still managed to pick things up another level in 2018.

Over 19 games, he is on pace for a career-best 3.40 skill-interactive ERA (SIERA) as well as a 29.4% strikeout rate. That strikeout rate is more than four percentage points better than he has ever posted, and it comes with a 14.4% swinging-strike rate, which is another career-best clip.

His matchup today is a decent one, as well, as the Milwaukee Brewers rank in the middle of the pack in wRC+ against right-handed pitching, and their 3.38 implied total is Monday's lowest.

Adding to Maeda's fantasy upside, the Brewers also strike out at a top-five rate (25.1%) against righties. Maeda has at least nine strikeouts in four of his last five starts and shouldn't have much trouble putting up another big number in that category today.
