5 Daily Fantasy Baseball Value Plays for 7/31/18
Daniel Descalso is in the midst of a career-best season, and he's got a sweet matchup versus Bartolo Colon. Which other cost-effective bats should you target on Tuesday?

Yan Gomez, C, Cleveland Indians

Price: $2,300

Yan Gomes doesn't offer much consistency or floor when he's taking on a righty -- like he is tonight against Minnesota's Kyle Gibson -- but what he does offer is strong upside, particularly when you factor in this low price-tag.

Gomes may do his best work against southpaws, but he has still cracked righties for a 39.9% hard-hit rate and 43.5% fly-ball rate. His home-run-to-fly-ball rate is narrowly trailing his career average this season, but with his hard-hit rate sitting 9.5 percentage points above his career average, we can expect a bit of an increase in home run production moving forward.

Tonight puts him in a particularly good spot to realize some of that upside. He has the fifth-most hitter-friendly park factor on the slate, and Gibson -- although he's been good in 2018 -- is allowing a career-high 38.0% hard-hit rate.
