FanDuel Price: $2,900
The Twins are one of the few teams implied for over five runs on tonight's slate, and could be an interesting source of contrarian value.
Eddie Rosario has been ice-cold over the last week, going just 1-20 and seeing his batting average dip below .300 for the first time since early in the season. With his salary priced all the way down to $2,900, he represents a nice buy-low opportunity in a favorable matchup. Rosario has pounded 19 homers and can steal some bags (seven on the year), so there is certainly upside in this spot.
The Royals will counter with righty Heath Fillmyer tonight, and while his numbers look decent on the surface, there is a reason the Twins are projected for more than five runs. Fillmyer has a 3.29 ERA but a 4.82 xFIP and a 5.01 SIERA, so regression is looming. His strikeout rate is also just 13.3%, so Rosario's .232 ISO should versus righties should certainly come into play tonight.
With Justin Verlander and Jacob deGrom on the slate, finding some cheap bats is going to be necessary. Not many on the slate have it better than Eddie Rosario and the Twins.
