With the platoon advantage to his favor and slotted into the second spot last night, Randal Grichuk could garner a lot of attention. But a close look at his numbers against lefties leaves a little more to be desired.

Marco Gonzales takes the mound, and after a rough 2017 season, he has been strong in 2018, posting a 12-5 record with a 3.48 xFIP. He has held righties down nicely this season, limiting them to a .299 wOBA and 28.3% fly-ball rate with a 22.7% strikeout rate.

Grichuk, meanwhile, in this same split has hit southpaws for only a .258 wOBA over 86 plate appearances this season.
