On tonight's slate, Joc Pederson is the opposite of Holt in a lot of ways. The Los Angeles Dodgers don't have an encouraging implied total (4.12), but Pederson's numbers are strong enough to put him in play anyway. As an added bonus, his pitching matchup isn't a bad one.
Oakland Athletics righty Mike Fiers has a solid 3.48 ERA this year, but his SIERA is much weaker, with a 4.53 mark that is right in line with 2017's 4.52. He's also allowing a 36.7% hard-hit rate (his highest since 2013) and 44.5% fly-ball rate (his highest since 2014).
Pederson is on pace for career-best marks in both wOBA (.366) and ISO (.277), and he has an especially deadly .399 wOBA and .310 ISO on a 43.2% hard-hit and 42.9% fly-ball rate against righties.
