5 Daily Fantasy Baseball Value Plays for 8/14/18
Ender Inciarte's speed gives him nice upside against the Marlins on Tuesday. What other budget-friendly bats should you target?

Ender Inciarte, OF, Atlanta Braves

Price: $2,400

Ender Inciarte is having one of his worst seasons from the dish, posting a career-low .290 wOBA. This also comes with a career-worst .276 batting average on balls in play, though, when he has never posted anything below .310 in any of his other four seasons, along with a career-average .319 over more than 2,500 plate appearances. When you factor his career-best 27.8% hard-hit rate and a soft-hit rate right in line with his carer average, it looks like he's being held back by variance and that we can count on some regression in his favor.

Inciarte is deadly once he does get on base, and his 23 steals on the season are already a career-high, while also ranking eighth in the Majors.

He draws a great matchup tonight against righty Trevor Richards and the Miami Marlins. Richards has made 17 starts in his first Major League season, and while he has shown some promise, his 4.39 skill-interactive ERA (SIERA) and 10.3% walk rate are both troubling. He has also been cracked for a huge 42.3% hard-hit rate.

Allowing great contact and a ton of walks will give Inciarte a good chance of getting on base, where his ability to swipe bags gives him great fantasy upside.
