Facing the league's worst offense in terms of weighted on-base average (wOBA), Kevin Gausman should be money in the bank against the Miami Marlins, right?

Maybe not. The Atlanta Braves' new field, Sun Trust Park, has been especially friendly to left-handed batters. In looking at the data for the 2017 season (the first full one in the Braves' new home), Sun Trust ranked 5th in park factor and 11th in home run factor, per Baseball Prospectus.

That's key when you recognize that since the start of last year, Gausman has recorded a 10.6% walk rate and 37.7% fly-ball rate against lefties, which leads to a bloated 4.68 xFIP. Gausman could seem to have an easy matchup against a struggling offense, but he may be one to avoid with other factors not in his favor tonight.
