3 MLB FanDuel Studs to Target on 8/23/18
A revitalized Cole Hamels will toe the rubber against the Cincinnati Reds and looks well worth paying up for on a tidy Thursday main slate. Who else should star on tonight's slate?

Khris Davis, OF, Oakland Athletics

Price: $4,300

Oakland Athletics outfielder Khris Davis has entered the AL MVP conversation thanks to another ridiculously hot season at the plate. He's now tied for the MLB lead in home runs (38) and is 2nd in RBIs (102), to go with the 18th-best wOBA (.381) and 11th-best wRC+ (145).

Expanding to his last 162 games, Davis has hit .263/.341/.578 with 53 HR and 139 RBI. Yowza. And Davis has gotten even hotter in the second half, leading all of baseball with 17 dingers since the All-Star break, with a .464 wOBA that is tied for fourth and a 202 wRC+ that is third.

He'll be facing Minnesota Twins hurler Kohl Stewart, who has the third-worst implied score of anyone on the evening slate (5.29). Stewart is making just his third big-league start for the Twins, lasting just 7 innings in his previous two starts with a 7.71 ERA and a 5.87 SIERA.

This is a situation where you'll want to stack a bunch of A's players in your lineup, and it should without question be led by Davis, who has emerged as one of the great overall power threats in the game.
