The shine is rapidly fading on Lance Lynn's impressive second-half surge, with the New York Yankees' starter coughing up 10 earned runs over 9.1 frames in his last two starts.
But streamers might benefit if squeamish owners bail on Lynn. The veteran righty surrendered an unsustainable .467 batting average on balls in play (BABIP) on just 12.9% liners in his last two outings, with a 3.47 fielding independent pitching (FIP) that should assure us Lynn remains a usable arm for fantasy.
Lynn is primed to regain our trust this week as the Yankees host a pair of dismal American League Central offenses. Detroit is the worst team in the American League in terms of team isolated slugging (ISO) against righties over the last month. The White Sox have brought some pop over that span (.194 team ISO against righties), but it's come with an MLB-worst 26.5% group strikeout rate.
