We've got a ton of studly pitchers taking the mound tonight, making this decision a little bit tougher than it usually is. There are plenty of big names in action, but it's the less-heralded Blake Snell that stands out on Friday.

Snell's skill-interactive ERA (SIERA) isn't in the top tier on the slate, but at 3.46, it's still within 0.6 of cracking 6th among the 28 starters. He adds to that a 29.9% strikeout rate, which is good for fourth, and a 14.4% swinging-strike rate that ranks third. With the fantasy upside that strikeouts afford you, those numbers more than make up for the second-tier SIERA.

He also finds himself in a terrific matchup against Baltimore. The Orioles have been egregious against southpaws this year, particularly if we narrow our view to just teams' active rosters. The O's are dead-last in wRC+ (66) in that split, which is 10 points lower than any other team. They also strike out at a top-three rate, at 24.9%.

The Tampa Bay Rays are the slate's biggest favorites (-250 moneyline), while Baltimore's 2.80 implied total is the slate's lowest mark.
