Admittedly, Jonathan Schoop has not been great since joining the Milwaukee Brewers. He has made 91 plate appearances, turning in an ugly .279 wOBA with a pedestrian .143 ISO.
That's a small sample, though, and while his season-long production hasn't been especially strong either, we do see his wOBA jump to .300, while his .192 ISO reveals plenty of pop and fantasy upside.
What really puts him in play tonight, though, is his matchup. San Francisco Giants southpaw Derek Holland has a shaky 4.16 skill-interactive ERA (SIERA) on the season, allowing a .334 wOBA to right-handed bats on a huge 44.9% hard-hit and 40.3% fly-ball rate. Those contact numbers put Schoop in a great spot to show off his power.
