Hyun-jin Ryu has been brilliant as a member of the Los Angeles Dodgers, posting a 2.16 ERA and 3.10 skill-interactive ERA (SIERA) over 58 1/3 innings.

Tonight, however, that brilliance may hit a road block. While Ryu has done a great job this year, he faces a Cincinnati Reds squad that is blistering the baseball. Over the last two weeks, the Reds rank second in the Majors in team weighted on-base average (wOBA) with a .350 mark, including a robust .181 ISO.

The Reds have whiffed at a high clip over this same time frame (23.5%), so there is upside opportunity here, but Ryu may not be worth the lofty price.
