4 Daily Fantasy Baseball Value Plays for 9/19/18
Billy McKinney offers big value batting leadoff in a plus matchup tonight. Which other cheap hitters should you target?

Billy McKinney, OF, Toronto Blue Jays

Price: $2,800

The Toronto Blue Jays' 4.93 implied total is Wednesday's fourth-highest mark as they take on the Baltimore Orioles and right-hander Jimmy Yacabonis.

Yacabonis has made 9 appearances (4 starts) in the Majors this year, with his 28 2/3 innings combining with his 2017 work to give him 49 1/3 for his career. In that sample, he has an awful 5.26 SIERA, with an 11.4% walk rate that pushes awfully close to his 15.5% strikeout rate.

His Minor League work earlier this year wasn't encouraging either, having pitched to a 4.40 xFIP. That's not far off the 4.34 he posted in his other Triple-A stint in 2017. Nothing he has shown us over the last two years has been promising.

Billy McKinney has shown plenty of promise over 100 plate appearances in his first Major League season. He has turned a 32.8% hard-hit and 11.9% soft-hit rate into a .350 wOBA and .200 ISO. He showed flashes of power in the Minors as well, with a .269 ISO in his 56 Triple-A games in 2018. Likely batting leadoff for Toronto and in such a favorable spot, he is one of the day's best value options.
